Airline Tiered Pricing is Out of Control

There was once a time when you paid a flat fee for your airline ticket. That included your seat, luggage and sometimes a meal as well. Now you’re lucky if what you pay even covers a carry on. Everything now is tiered pricing and airline tiered pricing has gotten way out of control and it needs to be reigned in.

Trying to buy an airline ticket in this economy is like trying to find a Trump supporter who thinks he actually committed a crime or however many he has. With airline tiered pricing you end up paying more for less. It’s ridiculous.

What fueled tiered pricing? Greed. Sheer and utter greed by airline executives. They know people have to travel so why not make a profit. That’s the mentality of these greedy executives. More they can charge the more people will ultimately have to pay because they have to travel.

Now you have to pay extra to pick a seat, get a snack, pay for your luggage, pay for your carry on, pay to use the WIFI and so on. What has changed? Has the weight of the planes changed? Nothing changed but the level of greediness.

It wasn’t long ago that airlines, on multiple occasions, were begging for taxpayer money to help bail them out. That’s right we’ve bailed them out on more than one occasion. And the thanks we get is that they executives want to stick it to the same taxpayers who helped them out by charging outrageous fees for basic airline services.

And these airlines are now carrying cargo besides passengers. They figure we can make more money by charging travelers as well as transporting cargo. That is the reason why some airlines have begun to weigh passengers. They need to make sure they can fly all the cargo first before people.

It’s all about dollars and profits. Screw the consumers.

You can’t expect Congress to step in and intervene. How many of those clowns take lobbyist money from the airlines? Either that or they’re too busy trying to find the smoking gun for a crime they’re certain a President made when he was not in office.

Call me an anarchist, but I hope the airlines fail. I hope they beg for more tax payer money and get nothing. They deserve nothing. Their greed will have them groveling for more funds and I’m sure they’re already looking for new ways to stick to travelers.

What’s next a fee to print your boarding pass? A fee to go through security? A fee to get hand wanded? I’m sure they’ve already came up with those and more.

And the sad part about this airline tiered pricing nonsense is other industries have taken up the same garbage. BMW was about to charge users a monthly fee so they can use their heated seats. That’s right, BMW was going to charge their users a fee to use something that comes equipped in the car.

It won’t be long now before everything is a tiered priced for basic services. The amount of greed in this world never fails to amaze me. It’s all about making average Americans pay out the ass for basic services just to enrich the wealthy and greedy executives and shareholders.

When will these greedy executives have enough of our money? The answer is never and until we rise up to complain and do something about their thievery, they will continue to reach into our pockets and take, take, take.
